Masala chai is a tea beverage made by boiling black tea in water & milk with a mixture of aromatic herbs and spices with a definite need for sugar to offset the toasty bitterness. Originating in the Indian subcontinent, the beverage has gained worldwide popularity.

Preparing Chai
2 cups water
½ cup milk
2 regular black tea bags (Orange Pekoe recommended)
1 tsp Ashi’s Rasoi Chai Masala
3 tsp (or to taste) sugar
Bring water to boil in a pot.
Add Ashi’s Rasoi Chai Masala and boil for another 2 minutes.
Add tea bags and let it boil for another 2 minutes.
Then add milk and bring to boil and remove from heat.
Strain the chai and serve hot.
